Preview: Blair Blazers vs. Paint Branch Panthers
The Blair Blazers will head out on the road to face off against the Paint Branch Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Blair is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Blair's 9-2 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They and Bethesda-Chevy Chase were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Blair suffered an agonizing 21-20 defeat.
Quinn Stofa put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Paint Branch suffered a rough 34-13 loss at the hands of Blake on Friday. Paint Branch has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Paint Branch took the loss, they still got scores from Roman Spikes and Caden Jackson.
The losses dropped Blair to 2-5 and Paint Branch to 3-4.
Blair was able to grind out a solid win over Paint Branch in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, winning 25-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blair since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
