There's no place like home for The Austin Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 14-9 W over Bowie on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Austin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Austin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anakin Torres, who threw for 183 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. Andruw Andujo also helped out with an impressive 140 receiving yards.
Austin's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Bowie, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
Austin will head out on the road to face off against Irvin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Irvin is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Bowie, they will be playing at home against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
