Volleyball Game Preview: Wiley Panthers vs. Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates + How To Watch

The Wiley Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Wiley came up short against South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] and fell 3-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 24-26, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Genoa-Hugo/Karval suffered their biggest defeat since September 27th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Granada.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-10, 25-16.

Wiley's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Wiley couldn't quite get it done against Genoa-Hugo/Karval in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
