Colonie Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Wolfpack sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Adrianna Laraway spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Colonie Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annalisa Checksfield, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Checksfield has posted since back in April. Katie Parisi was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Colonie Central pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.75 runs across that stretch. As for Saratoga Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Colonie Central nor Saratoga Springs have any future games scheduled.
