Softball Recap: Central Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Central extended their winning streak to seven on Monday, bumping their season record up to 10-4 in the process. They blew past the Crescent Valley Raiders 19-4. Considering the Panthers have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Crescent Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

For Crescent Valley's part, Abby Kessler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Miri Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central is set to take on their familiar foe Silverton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Panthers have won four straight at home, while the Foxes won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, Crescent Valley will square off against rival McKay at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
