Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Marion County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 28-22 to the Addison Bulldogs on Friday. The Red Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Marion County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiptyn Adkins, who threw for 123 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 94 yards. Samuel Taylor was Adkins' top target, picking up 33 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 44 yards.

Addison got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Roberts out in front who rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 141 yards and one TD. Judah Wilkins was in the mix too, providing the Bulldogs with two scores.

Marion County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Addison, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Marion County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Addison, they will face off against Wadley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Addison 13.2, Wadley 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
