Basketball Game Preview: Hagerty Huskies vs. Seabreeze Sandcrabs

The Hagerty Huskies just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Seabreeze Sandcrabs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Hagerty and four for Seabreeze.

On Friday, Hagerty ended up a good deal behind Osceola and lost 69-51. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Kowboys are ranked 18th).

Meanwhile, Seabreeze lost 61-39 to Maclay on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Seabreeze saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordan Anthony went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points.

Seabreeze's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Hagerty, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Hagerty strolled past Seabreeze when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 64-49. Will Hagerty repeat their success, or does Seabreeze have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
