Basketball Game Preview: Yuma Outlaws vs. Strasburg Indians

The Yuma Outlaws will head out to face off against the Strasburg Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Yuma is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against University, falling 55-35. While losing is never fun, the Outlaws can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, Strasburg came up short against Highland on Friday and fell 58-49. The Indians have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Yuma has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. Strasburg's loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Things could have been worse for Yuma, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 44-28 loss to Strasburg in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Yuma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
