Recap: Pasadena Memorial Mavericks vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks can now relate to. They were dealt a 48-0 loss at the hands of Summer Creek on Thursday. Pasadena Memorial has not had much luck with Summer Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Summer Creek was led to victory by Lloyd Avant and Blake Thomas. Avant rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Thomas threw for 134 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. Avant's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.
Pasadena Memorial now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Summer Creek, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Pasadena Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Summer Creek is on the road again on November 17th and play against Clear Creek at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Clear Creek is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
