Long is a perfect 4-0 against Carroll since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rebels will take on the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Long's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Carroll's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Long came out on top against Wicksburg on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Rebels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Carroll came up short against Ashford on Saturday and fell 11-7.

Jason Chancey was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Del Rosario, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Long is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Carroll, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything went Long's way against Carroll in their previous meeting back in February, as Long made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
