Soccer Recap: Peru Find Success

Peru's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Southern Wells Raiders an 8-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Peru needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Their offense was hitting Southern Wells from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Katy Jo Kieninger led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The victory got Peru back to even at 1-1. As for Southern Wells, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Peru has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against North Miami on the 25th. As for Southern Wells, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 9-0 loss against New Haven on the 26th.
