Softball Recap: Jackson Beats Millry for Their Ninth Straight Victory

While Jackson's victory against Millry wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Jackson skirted past Millry 2-0. The win was nothing new for the Aggies as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Not much got past Zoey Rooks, who gave up just a hit to keep Millry off the board. Rooks has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kristen Yeager was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Jackson's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Millry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7-1.

Jackson has already played their next match (against Sweet Water), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Millry, they will head out to square off against Southern Choctaw at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Choctaw will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Millry surely won't give up without a fight.
