Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Pleasant Valley's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Pleasant Valley won the last time they faced Northampton and things went their way on Monday too. The Bears walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Konkrete Kids.

Kailyn Getz made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Getz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Brianca Pridham was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Rylan Knapp was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Pleasant Valley has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Northampton, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.

Pleasant Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northampton, they will take on Emmaus at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Konkrete Kids' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season.
