Soccer Game Preview: North Lincoln vs. Lincoln Charter

The North Lincoln Knights will challenge the Lincoln Charter Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

North Lincoln managed to slip by Foard the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights came up short against the Tigers two weeks ago, falling 4-0. North Lincoln's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Lincoln Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pine Lake Prep by a score of 4-3. While losing is never fun, Lincoln Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Pine Lake Prep are ranked 21st).

Bella Lohri and McKenna Verdi scored all three of Lincoln Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 31 goals.

North Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for Lincoln Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
