Baseball Recap: Grosse Pointe North Comes Up Short

Grosse Pointe North made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grosse Pointe South, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Norsemen fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Norsemen have suffered since April 30th.

Grosse Pointe North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Rocho, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Grosse Pointe North and nudges their season record down to 6-22-1. As for Grosse Pointe South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-5.

While Grosse Pointe North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
