Preview: O'Connell Boilermakers vs. Washington Eagles
The O'Connell Boilermakers will head out on the road to square off against the Washington Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. O'Connell comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Tuesday, O'Connell came up short against The Academy - San Francisco and fell 59-46.
Meanwhile, Washington earned a 56-45 victory over Galileo on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Washington.
Jaydon Chow and Jonah Chiu were among the main playmakers for Washington as the former scored 19 points along with two steals and the latter scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Chiu also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Johnson Chang was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
O'Connell's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
O'Connell was taken down by Washington 84-15 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can O'Connell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
