Basketball Game Preview: Sneads Pirates vs. Franklin County Seahawks

Sneads hasn't had much luck against Franklin County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Sneads Pirates will take on the Franklin County Seahawks in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m.

Sneads is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost 67-47 to Liberty County. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 172nd).

Meanwhile, Franklin County entered their tilt with Liberty County on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 51-41.

Franklin County's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Sneads, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Sneads came up short against Franklin County in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 59-50. Can Sneads avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
