Basketball Recap: Okolona Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Okolona and Tupelo Christian Prep squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Okolona had to settle for second. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles. The Chieftains were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.

Okolona has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Okolona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they will face off against Coffeeville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Coffeeville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups.
