Baseball Game Preview: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Pomona Panthers

The Paradise Valley Trojans will square off against the Pomona Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Paradise Valley's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Pomona has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Thursday, Paradise Valley came up short against Canyon View and fell 11-7.

Paradise Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Mitchell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Mitchell has posted since back in February of 2024. Braedan Lewis was another, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Pomona lost 17-1 to Mingus on Thursday.

Paradise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Pomona, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Paradise Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Pomona in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 6-1. Does Paradise Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pomona turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
