Basketball Recap: Raby Takes a Loss

Raby lost against Jones back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raby Raiders were dealt a 75-42 defeat at the hands of the Jones Eagles.

Despite the loss, Raby still got an impressive performance from Jaylen Walker, who posted 24 points. The match was Walker's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sharvis Pipes, who put up 11 points.

Raby has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Jones, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Raby will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manley at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Jones will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Austin College and Career Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
