The St. Mary's Rams will challenge the Central Catholic Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Central Catholic will be up against a hot St. Mary's team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. St. Mary's never let West get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Friday. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly 15 runs.
Jeremy Krause looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brady Errecart, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of St. Mary's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Dax Hardcastle, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
St. Mary's kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.8.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Catholic). They were the clear victors by a 14-8 margin over Pioneer on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.
Will Magni looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Central Catholic let Hudson Walker and Broden Thomas run wild. Walker went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Thomas went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Walker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Kiesel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Central Catholic's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for St. Mary's, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
