Softball Recap: Del Oro Wins Going Away Against Tranquillity

Del Oro entered their tilt with Tranquillity on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over the Tigers. The matchup marked the Suns' most dominant victory of the season.

Anali Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Martinez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Eliana Munoz was a standout: she fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Bryana Garcia was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.

Del Oro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .633. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Del Oro back to even at 5-5. As for Tranquillity, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Del Oro will be playing in front of their home fans against Wonderful College Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tranquillity, they will venture away from home to face off against Laton at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Laton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
