Soccer Game Preview: Decatur vs. Brewer

The Decatur Eagles will take on the Brewer Bears in a tournament on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Decatur had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They won by a goal and slipped past Lake Dallas 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brewer). They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Flour Bluff on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

They hit Flour Bluff with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jonathan Cortez, Helio Flores, Pablo Llanos, and Damian Merida.
