The Sanford-Fritch Eagles will challenge the Spearman Lynx at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sanford-Fritch will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Sunray, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Sanford-Fritch blew past Sunray 49-23 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Spearman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 59-26 victory over West Texas. Given the Lynx's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Comanches are ranked 806th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Spearman is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Sanford-Fritch, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
