The Columbia Christian Crusaders's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Trinity Christian by a score of 73-60. Given Columbia Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Columbia Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Burley led the charge by scoring 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Burley has scored at least 25% of Columbia Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Goodwin, who scored 16 points.
Columbia Christian's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Trinity Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Columbia Christian will head out on the road to face off against Parkers Chapel at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harts Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
