Volleyball Recap: Coppell Cowboys vs. Allen Eagles
Coppell and Allen squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Coppell had to settle for second. They came up short against the Allen Eagles, falling 3-0. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
Coppell was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Allen work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 26-24.
Brooke L Felix paced Coppell's offense, picking up nine kills. Felix got some help from
Carolina Ufret and her 14 assists.
Coppell's defeat dropped their record down to 16-16. As for Allen, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 28-12 record this season.
Coppell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Allen, they are on the road again on Friday to play Lake Highlands at 6:30 p.m. Lake Highlands will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Allen surely won't give up without a fight.
