Baseball Recap: Arizona Lutheran Academy Has No Trouble Against Odyssey Institute

Arizona Lutheran Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Odyssey Institute on Thursday. The Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes blew past the Odyssey Institute Minotaur 9-3.

Nash Bielke made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bielke was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Pennington, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Eric Urbieta was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Arizona Lutheran Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Odyssey Institute only posted a batting average of .188.

The victory got Arizona Lutheran Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Odyssey Institute, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Coming up, Arizona Lutheran Academy and Kingman will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Odyssey Institute, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Fountain Hills at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
