Basketball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short

Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-50 loss at the hands of the Cherokee County Warriors.

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Cherokee County, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleveland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hayden at 6:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Cherokee County will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Ragland at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
