Basketball Game Preview: Harper Longhorns vs. Mason Punchers

The Harper Longhorns will take on the Mason Punchers in a holiday battle at at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Harper will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Harper beat Ingram Moore 32-21. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Warriors are ranked 828th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mason). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Junction 72-25. The Punchers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

The victory got Mason back to even at 6-6. As for Harper, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
