Softball Preview: Pensacola Catholic Crusaders vs. Crestview Bulldogs

The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders will head out on the road to challenge the Crestview Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Monday, Pensacola Catholic made easy work of Destin and carried off an 11-2 win. The victory was just what Pensacola Catholic needed coming off of a 21-6 loss in their prior contest.

Isabelle Little-anoai made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Little-anoai was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Morgan Smith and Adysion Adams did most of the damage at the plate: Smith scored three runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-4, while Adams went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and a triple. Adams is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in the last three games she's played. Taylor Robision was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Crestview came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let Pine Forest onto the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. The victory was just what Crestview needed coming off of a 10-3 defeat in their prior game.

Tianna Hill was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriah Keith, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Pensacola Catholic's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Crestview, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
