Softball Recap: Williams Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity, Williams was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 39-36 win over the Grimsley Whirlies. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Whirlies: they've now won three in a row.

Kelsey Legge was a standout: she scored seven runs while going 7-for-7. Jordan Page was another key player, scoring five runs while going 5-for-8.

Williams always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .634. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

The win got Williams back to even at 1-1. As for Grimsley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Williams didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Chapel Hill on the 3rd. As for Grimsley, they will take on Southeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Grimsley their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
