Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln lost against Lewis Central back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lynx took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Ana Watkins paced Lincoln's offense, picking up seven kills. Watkins got some help from Emily Townsend and her ten assists. Kaybree Blair controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lewis Central found their leader in sophomore Jacey Young, who had 17 digs and three assists. Young is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Lincoln has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-25 record this season. As for Lewis Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-9.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Sidney on the 18th. As for Lewis Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Missouri Valley on the 18th.
