Baseball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

If Northeast was riding high fresh off their 14-3 takedown of North Miami Beach last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Northeast Hurricanes fell just short of the Plantation Colonels by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colonels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Plantation, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Northeast will host Miami at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miami's pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so Northeast's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plantation, they are taking a road trip to square off against Boyd Anderson at 6:00 p.m. on February 27th.
