Soccer Game Preview: Malvern Prep vs. Germantown Academy

Malvern Prep is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy on Tuesday. The Friars fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Malvern Prep came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Springside Chestnut Hill Academy are ranked 303rd).

Meanwhile, Germantown Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to William Penn Charter.

Germantown Academy now has a losing record of 4-5-3. As for Malvern Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-2.
