Basketball Recap: Waupaca Comes Up Short

Waupaca lost against Winneconne back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Waupaca Comets were dealt a 63-32 loss at the hands of the Winneconne Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Wolves are ranked 28th).

Waupaca's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Winneconne, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Waupaca will welcome Clintonville at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Waupaca is facing Clintonville at the right time seeing as Clintonville is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Winneconne, they will venture away from home to take on Berlin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
