Basketball Recap: Chinquapin Prep Comes Up Short

Chinquapin Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Brazosport Christian Eagles, falling 70-26.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brazosport Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Speed, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was James Moore, who posted six points in addition to ten assists and three steals.

Chinquapin Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Brazosport Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7.

Chinquapin Prep will head out to face off against Brazosport Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Brazosport Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-31 loss against O'Connell on the 31st.
