Softball Game Preview: Pacelli Cardinals vs. Assumption Royals

The Pacelli Cardinals will square off against the Assumption Royals on Tuesday. Pacelli is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Pacelli is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Marathon. The one-run effort marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Assumption beat Auburndale 5-2 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.

Assumption's win bumped their record up to 18-5-1. As for Pacelli, their victory bumped their record up to 27-1.

Pacelli took their win against Assumption when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
