Baseball Recap: Le Grand Bulldogs vs. Denair Coyotes        
        
		
            
 There's no place like home for Le Grand, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Wednesday. They skirted past the Denair Coyotes  6-5. This was a revenge  contest for Le Grand, as the team was forced to settle for  a  2-1 defeat when these two played  last Wednesday.
  DIEGO MARTINEZ made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits. MARTINEZ has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. MARTINEZ was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  CASH SAPIEN was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.  BENJAMIM REYES was another key contributor,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 On Denair's side,  Jesse Ruelas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Kaden Prine, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 The  victory  got Le Grand back to even at 8-8. As for Denair, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Le Grand will  challenge Mariposa County at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Denair, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Ripon Christian at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Ripon Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8  runs per game  this season.
