Basketball Recap: Plattsburgh Hornets vs. Beekmantown Eagles

The Plattsburgh Hornets lost against the Beekmantown Eagles back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Plattsburgh fell 48-39 to the Eagles.

Beekmantown got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lindsay Barnes out in front who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Payton Parliament, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Plattsburgh dropped their record down to 8-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Beekmantown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plattsburgh will take on the Red Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Saranac Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 441st, while the Hornets are ranked 192nd). As for Beekmantown, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
