Volleyball Recap: Marina Takes a Loss

Marina lost against Rancho San Juan on March 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Marina lost 3-0 to Rancho San Juan. The Mariners' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

While Marina was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Rancho San Juan's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-18, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rancho San Juan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Valdez, who had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Valdez has posted since March 1st.

Marina's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rancho San Juan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
