Volleyball Recap: Canyon's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Canyon had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They put the hurt on the Judson Rockets with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Canyon was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-14, 25-13.

Grace Skidmore was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Skidmore wasn't the only good servers: Canyon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 29-13. As for Judson, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-26.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Canyon will challenge rival Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Judson is set to face off against their familiar foe Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
