Volleyball Recap: Hammond Takes a Loss

Hammond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Cardinal Newman Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-9, 25-7.

Hammond's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Cardinal Newman, they pushed their record up to 27-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hammond will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ben Lippen at 6:15 p.m. on October 7. As for Cardinal Newman, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Daniel on the 26th.
