Basketball Recap: Richland Springs Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Coyotes on Friday. The Richland Springs Coyotes lost to the Borden County Coyotes at home by a 45-28 margin. While losing is never fun, Richland Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 791st, while Borden County is ranked 234th).

Richland Springs has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Borden County, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Richland Springs will face off against Aquilla at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Borden County, they will challenge Wellman-Union at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
