Basketball Game Preview: Yucca Valley Trojans vs. Holtville Vikings

The Yucca Valley Trojans will be taking part in a tournament against the Holtville Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Yucca Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 116-36 loss at the hands of Palm Desert. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Holtville played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Preuss UCSD, falling 68-35. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.
