Football Recap: Northwest Halifax Vikings vs. Warren County Eagles

If Northwest Halifax was riding high fresh off their 54-6 takedown of Weldon last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings were outmatched by the Warren County Eagles and fell 49-12. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Northwest Halifax had strong showings from Marsay Edwards, who rushed for 103 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and Daveion Richardson, who picked up 106 receiving yards and one touchdown. Richardson got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 63 yards.

It was another big night for Graham Hosch, who rushed for 122 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries for Warren County. Amir Gamble was in the mix too, providing the Eagles with one touchdown.

Northwest Halifax's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Warren County, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

As of now, neither Northwest Halifax nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
