Football Recap: Strong Effort on D from Jaysen Oriol and Edwin Akpu Leads Panther Creek over Enloe + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Panther Creek had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 27-14 victory over the Enloe Eagles.

Travis Woodard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 249 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Panther Creek's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 5-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Panther Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 265 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Enloe only rushed for 132.

Another reason for the win was Panther Creek's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jaysen Oriol and Edwin Akpu, who racked up all four sacks between them. Oriol is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last 12 games he's played dating back to last season.

Panther Creek's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Enloe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Panther Creek nor Enloe have any future games scheduled.
