After a string of six wins, Episcopal's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a hard 68-53 fall against the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Eagles are ranked 18th).

Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.

Episcopal will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Houston HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, they are taking a road trip to challenge Miller at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
