Preview: Spring Grove Lions vs. Kingsland Knights
Spring Grove has been on the road for four straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Kingsland Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Spring Grove can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-30 margin over Lanesboro. Given Spring Grove's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Lanesboro is ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kingsland posted their closest victory yet this season on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Houston and snuck past 65-63. Kingsland's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Spring Grove's win was their 16th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.69 points. As for Kingsland, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
Spring Grove took their victory against Kingsland in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 60-40. Does Spring Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kingsland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
