Baseball Recap: Charlotte Catholic Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Cuthbertson

Charlotte Catholic faced Cuthbertson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 6-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 11-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Charlotte Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Hucko, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Charlotte Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4-1. As for Cuthbertson, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-3.
