Volleyball Recap: Houghton Takes a Loss

Houghton entered their contest against Ishpeming on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Gremlins took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hematites. The Gremlins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hematites apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Houghton now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Ishpeming, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.

Houghton will challenge Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ishpeming, they will face off against Escanaba on Saturday.
